As we approach this time of season, I want to wish you well. Those who read, those who take time to absorb words of thought, and sincerity, THANK YOU!
Much of my 2008 summer has been spent driving and flying. I feel gratitude to all that has brought experiences in the life of empowerment.
I want to share some words to my people who are pursuing higher thoughts in institutions of education. This time of year always brings much anticipation of future and ambition. First I say to you, I AM PROUD OF YOU . Thank you for the personal motivation you have given yourself to seek knowledge. Many of us travel roads where education is constant. And I realize that in the process of your decision to take this road through school, there are expectations of self and surroundings.
Be clear in what it is you seek. And always take responsibility for what absorbs in your brain. Education has many layers. And occasionally those layers need to be processed before truth is revealed. When you begin to see the powerful processes your brain and spirit have to use these ways of thinking, you begin to discover the natural way it empowers your surroundings.
Think clear on your feet. Do not hesitate. And encourage yourself to listen and learn.
In my experiences as a leadership trainer, I make it known to individuals that the pride which we eagerly proclaim, whether it be cultural pride, or personal pride, is eloquently defined through attitude and action. This pride is always on. All the time. I encourage you to understand that in those times of anxiety or discourse, your choice to show pride is sitting right in front of you. Take it and use it. It is those very moments where pride in your self will carry you through anything.
Your knowledge is needed. Our world needs more thinkers and writers. Especially of Indigenous thought and life ways. Your effort to place forth progress is what we need to move. Thank you for your decision to be a student, a teacher, and an educator.
Make it happen! I wish you an abundance of patience, clarity and progress!
Love and light-
LeAndra Bitsie
